Spurius Furius

The limits of my language are the limits of my world.

A journey through New Zealand in February and March 2013

Day 1 - a 35 hour journey to arrive at a festival of light in Auckland...

...and after a deep deep sleep a beautiful day and a ferry crossing to Devonport...

...followed by a bus to Thames and a hike up to the Coromandel Pinnacles...

...with abandoned kauri dams...

...beautiful wilderness...

...stunning views from the summit...

...

...

...and a night in the best campsite ever...

...with the best pancakes ever waiting for us in Coromandel town...

...and a rain forest railway...

...I've shrunk!...

...tropical beach...

...and then a volcano (still smoking!)...

...

...crossing the Tongariro crater...

...

...to the Emerald Lakes...

...home for a few days...

...and en route to Wellington and the ferry to South Island...

...
